Legislation to Lift Caps on Family Care and IRIS Programs

There was some good news this week when the State Senate passed the Senate Bill (SB) 380 lifting the caps on enrollment in Family Care and IRIS and expanding the programs statewide. There was a unanomous vote of 33-0.

The State Assembly however, still has to act on Assembly Bill (AB) 477, the bill to lift the caps and expand the Family Care and IRIS programs statewide and the Bill still needs a hearing before the Assembly Aging and Long-Term Care Committee.

If you want this bill to become law, you may want to contact your Assembly Representative and ask him or her to work to get this bill passed!
